After suffering from many gynaecology problems for over a year, i was finally admitted on 24 February for my operation. Before the operation everything was explained to me and on the day of admission i was seen by 2 anaesthetists who both put my mind at rest & explained what would happen. This was my first operation & general anaesthetic but i knew i was in good hands. My consultant worked his magic and the operation was a success and the following morning he came to see me. After the operation i was placed on ward B2 and the day staff there were fantastic. I was well looked after especially by the staff nurse and her young student nurse. I had my obs done every 30 mins to start with which then was extended to hourly and then every 2 hours. The next day i had my catheter out and got out of bed to wash etc when i had a funny turn and my blood pressure dropped and i was vomiting and very dizzy. The student nurse and the staff nurse stayed with me until i felt better and gave me medication to ease the nausea. Overall, the care was amazing and the food was good too and i have nothing but praise for the staff on this ward and just want to say thank you. I would have no problems recommending Poole to anyone.
"Excellent care received in ward B2"
