Dear Sir/Madam Whilst I am pleased you and your son were seen quickly in A&E, I was sorry hear about your experience when contacting the ward at North Tyneside Hospital in relation to your son's care. I understand how difficult this must have been for you when your son is still experiencing a great deal of stomach pain. We would never want any patient, especially a child, to be left in a situation in which they were experiencing high levels of pain without help. Unfortunately, the anonymous nature of your feedback prevents me from offering you any practical support in the way I would like to. To help me understand a little more it would be really useful to know what ward you contacted and what advice you were given at the time ? I'd be grateful if you'd get in touch at Joanne.mackintosh@northumbria-healthcare.nhs.uk to share some more details ? Best Wishes and thanks for bringing this to our attention, Jo
