"Quality of Staff in A & E"

About: Kent & Canterbury Hospital

My wife was referred to have vascular check to painful feet to Vascular Nurse dept But spent over 4hrs-30 mins at A & E undergoing blood test etc. to be finally told by registrar to refer back to our consultant...Staff nurses seem to lack sufficient knowledge or interest and made this visit quite distressing for us. Commincation seemed to be a problem having overheard older patients having differculty understanding accents of certain nursing staff...We do realise that there is shortage of staffing levels but we hope never to have to visit this Hospital again. Even the discharge notification listed my wife as an ex-smoker when infact she had never smoked !
