"Disgrace to local care"

Sunday 2nd March 2014 my very elderly mother in failing health (nearing her final days & in great pain) was referred to Lymington Hospital by out of hoursn GP & accepted. However they then called the Dr back on realising how sick she was & suffering from infection (caused by previous hospital admission). The Dr confirmed need for local admission. SCAS Arrived & due to duress from the over worked staff at Lymington my mother was transferred to SGH A& E where of course the staff are under worked "not" needless to say she is now going to suffer without dignity. I hope the staff at Lymington that made this decision sleep well & don't complain when this waste of space high tech building is closed. The Old Hospital despite its lack of modern amenities at least provided a dignified service. A very angry & disappointed son who has lived & worked in this community for over 50 years. PS I will contact the hospital in person after 09.00 on Monday when the important people start work !!! Sam B
