"Terrible Gynae"

About: University College Hospital

I visited the a&e department in January for on going abdo pain. I had been admitted into the same hospital a year before, diagnosed with pcos and sent on my way. A year later and I was still having the pains. I was seen my the surgical team who booked me for an ultrasound the following morning as the department had closed for the evening, they told me that if my ultrasound showed nothing then they would admit me as an in paitent and investigate further. The following day i returned as told to, and as I predicted the ultrasound showed nothing. The surgical team saw me again and made the decision to admit me, and I was told to wait in the waiting area until a bed became available. Two hours later I was called into a cubicle by the surgeon who told me that he had changed his mind and was seding me home, I then asked could I be seen my a gynae doctor while i was here which he said was fine. Well the gynae doctor arrived and striaght away I had a terrible vibe from her, she decided to do an internal exam on me (in the cubicle) , where people kept coming in and out, I felt terribly uncomfortable and told her so, to whih she said, "If you want to go then go, but I'm only doing what you requested". This i found to be disgraceful!! After the exam she told me that the only chance I had of being treated was if I was refered as an outpaitent, by this point I was in absolute agony and svreaming in pain to which she just stared at me not even phased. My mother could hear me from down the corridor and came in, she then begged for something to be done and the doctor point blanked refused to help me. I asked her could I speak to the surgical team once more and she said she would call them now. I waited a further 90 miunutes in the waiting room ( by this point I had not recieved any pain relief), I asked a nurse for some pain killers to which she said "oh you're still here, your gynae doctor doscharged you an hour ago". The doctor had discharged me, not called the sugeons and put my noted behind a computor so the nurses could not find them to gove me any pain relief!! I had been coming to this hospital all my life but I had never been trwated like this, and I believe this gynae doctor needs to be spoken to and disciplined for the way she treated me!
