Me and my wife have been trying for a baby for 3 years, we have been to see our GP on a number of occasions and he has referred us to Walsall Manor Hospital , to investigate. My wife went to have some checks and she was informed that her tubes were blocked and that they will clear them out, they stated that the tubes are now clear and we can carry out trying. a few weeks later we had another appointment to see a consultant, and on this occasion she advised that 1 tube was still blocked, we advised that we have been told that both tubes were clear, once again misinformation. The consultant then stated that we will have to go the IVF route. My wife and I are so frustrated and we still do not know what is happening, are my wife's tubes blocked or not? why did this take 3 years to identify why were the tubes not checked in the first instance?, I requested information regarding IVF and the consultant just stated that there are leaflets outside, no support, no advice, nothing. As you can imagine knowing that we may never be able to have children is a huge shock to the system, and we felt that we had no support from the consultant and no proper information. We would like to have everything checked once again and fully confirmed. As we think that everything has not been done correctly.
