About: Glenfield Hospital

Hi here I am again! Yes the General I s a very good hospital and the nurses are very caring when they are able, have time to they are under staffed, run off there feet with so many patients. When my Dad was in ward 27 all the staff were great with my Dad, me I do remember most but over a year on. I am disappointed on one thing. I nominated some staff for awards I have one sister who didn't receive hers. she is on nights, she was first class she was so good to my Dad and also used to call me when needed. I really wish she would have her award even now so come on General do your job and give her an award please do it now!! Regards to all

Hi Jane, Thank you for your lovely comments about Ward 27, I have assumed this refers to Ward 27 (GI and Liver) at Leicester General Hospital, rather than Glenfield (which you have listed above!) . On that basis, I have sent this to the service leads within GI and Liver Services, as well as the matron and ward sister for Ward 27. With regards to the Caring at its Best Award, we're really sorry that the nurse you nominated didnt get selected to win the award. You can also nominate her again this year, https://www.leicestershospitals.nhs.uk/patients/nominate-a-member-of-our-staff-for-an-award/, or contact Head of Communications Tiffany.Jones@uhl-tr.nhs.uk to discuss as she leads on the awards each year! Kind regards Laura Stannard Communications Officer Leicester's Hospitals
