GP advised to go to A&E (Wed 26th) due to infection and heart mummer . Was discharged same night with amoxycillin, mother is allergic to this. She had a bad reaction to another drug that they gave her the same night for heart mummer, and felt too ill to start antibiotics when she was home, this is a relief that she didn't start taking them, but was worse the next day. Went back next day (Thurs 27th) on advise from GP who said it was now so serious that we must call ambulance. Arrived 5pm, a&e said she needed to be admitted. Spent the night in A&E / CDU and the next day waiting for bed to be available. Finally a bed was available and transferred to ward 7.45pm this evening (Fri 28th) Really hoping things improve and she gets better, the staff all work so hard and are doing their best, just very worried re how things have gone so far. The hospital is so busy, stretched to the limit, I have every praise for all the staff, even the junior doctor who made the mistake of prescribing the wrong drugs, as they all work so hard. I wish I could give a higher rating, but I am so concerned so far and very worried for my mother. .
