Had to come in for treatment of Nosebleeds. I couldn't have been treated better. A short waiting time until my due appointment time. I was greeted with smiles. The consultant Was soooooooo gentle. He listened to me. Treated me as if I had had a brain and intelligence. he allowed discussion. The endoscopic examination was absolutely painless. a bit uncomfortable but again so gentle. The outcome was brilliant. An explanation of what was happening and a way to recovery, or at least living with a situation that did not involve drugs. I have felt so much better and happier in myself since my visit. My medical ondition will not go away but...... I am a pretty intelligent lady of 69. Facing my given two score years and ten somewhat despondently as I enjoy life and, facing it's limits is pretty depressing sometimes . Given that everyone sometime has to experience and deal with this inevitability we all deal with it differently. Personally I get very irritable when I am treated as an aging woman who has slightly lost her marbles and of course if deaf with age so we >>>have>>>to >>>speak>>>slowly>>>and >>>be called familiar names like "pet"! The reality is, I have a degree in Plant and Animal behaviour and other letters after my name. I didn't lose them when I collected my pension. Sorry about the rant but it is relavent. For the first time ever in 9 years of being retired I was asked what job I did before I retired. Which one? Biology Teacher or IT Trainer?. Lovely! I suddenly felt a whole person again, not Just an old person, likely to take up bed space. I also have enormous admiration for the Anti Coagulant Clinic Nurses. What a wonderfully cheerful and friendly group of stalwarts. A huge thank you to you all for making my necessary visits pleasurable. Fairfield Managers you should be proud of having these people working with you. Please pass on my praise to all.
