"Problems with my GP"

About: Telford referral and quality service (TRAQS)

(as the patient),

My complaint is entirely with the GP. He has no people skills at all, it was the practice nurse who eventually deferred me later in the week. She could see the pain and distress I was in. She called in the practice manager and she said she was going to speak to my GP at the meeting, set at a later date.

I was going to leave the practice but was persuaded it was not in my best interest. The nurse assured me I would have to see my GP again if that was my wish, and assured me I could see her or the other doctor in the practice.

I have never been keen on my GP but accepted the first appointment offered as I was in such pain in my back.

Thank you for your feedback.

However, it I clear from your comments concern your dissatisfaction with your GP. As such I am unable to comment further on your experience. If you wish to make a complaint your GP surgery should have a written complaints procedure, and you will find this at reception or on the practice website. As a first step, speak to the Practice Manager. You can also complain to the practice in writing, or by email.

Thank you again for taking the time to write to TRAQS.
