I was referred to the Royal Marsden Rapid Diagnostic Breast Clinic after the birth of my second son. I was worried that visiting a cancer hospital would not be a positive experience regardless of my diagnosis. I could not have been more wrong. My experience from start to finish was empathetic, efficient, warm and sensitive from phone calls and reception to nursing and medical and diagnostic staff. It was clear that everyone in the hospital cared about providing a logical, efficient and personal service despite what must be a challenging working environment. For once an NHS hospital ( the only other exception being St Mary's Birth Centre, Paddington) made me feel like a human being. The full waiting room had a really positive feel. I cannot praise or thank the staff enough. I only wish other hospital teams could follow your example. How refreshing!
"Outstanding, welcoming, kind and positive."
