My 98 year old mother was admitted to A & E after a fall in which she had cut her head. As she is on blood thinners, the wound would not stop bleeding and in the end, had to be stitched but during the process my mother had a severe seizure. A particular doctor there was outstanding in her treatment of my mother, in handling the subsequent complications of her injury. I have never met such a kind and caring person with such wonderful people skills. She calmed both myself and my mother and gave us great confidence in her skills and those of her colleagues. All the doctors and nurses and ancillary staff were amazing. I don't know how they stay patient and calm and kind and caring when they are as overwhelmed with admissions as they were that evening - many of the people coming in were very difficult, for a variety of reasons, but all of them were treated with respect, courtesy and given outstanding care. My mother was eventually transferred to Ward 9North... where the staff were wonderful in every way.
"Excellent Treatment in A&E"
