"julianmed's promise: to actively seek positive interactions with patients/staff/relatives"

About: Rotherham: Every interaction counts

(as other),

This promise to change my work with patients and colleagues was made as part of Rotherham's Every Interaction Counts initiative, with Patient Opinion. I will attempt to give positive feedback to at least 3 people per day, and actively seek positive interactions with patients/staff/relatives, wherever they are in the hospital.

Hi Julian How did it go? Did people like the positive feedback? Did it help in any way that you tell? Do you have any examples of what you did that might help others? All the best Paul (Just email with your reply if you are too busy to post it up yourself and we'll put it up for you)

3people a day is a lot of positive feedback - less than that is more plausible if it is to be genuine and meaningful. I guess I am probably averaging 1-2. (someday less by mathematical inevitability)

Positive interactions however are there to be had all over the place!

Just look at all those members of the public looking bemused on the corridor but not feeling able to ask anybody - they are generally delighted if someone else takes the initiative and offers assistance...and i know where X-ray is!
