I was recently an inpatient at the Furness General Hospital, Barrow in Furness, Cumbria, on ward 5. I was in for 6 days following a TURPS operation.
The care given to me by the staff on that ward was excellent, the food was of a good standard and cleanliness obviously had a high priority.
I was particularly indebted to Sister(?) Chapman who was on night duty during my stay. She gave me reassurance when I was worried, hot chocolate when I couldn't sleep and really knew what she was doing. A real gem.
