"Lump in throat"

About: Pinderfields General Hospital

I was referred due to a lump in my thyroid. I was seen quickly by the consultant and booked in for a scan and biopsy. This was done really quickly the scan was conducted on 24/02 and the doctor was fantastic and explained everything he decided not to do the biopsy and referred me back to the clinic with the belief that the thyroid would probably be removed. Up to this point I was very satisfied and although the lump doesn't look sinister it cuddles me problems and I'm disappointed that every other appointment has been made quickly but now I have to wait until the 25th of April to be seen by the consultant I presume I will then have to wait for a surgery dare I feel this appointment is just too far away when every other appointment has been made quickly Other then that iv had a good experience to date

We appreciate that waiting for treatment causes anxiety, irrespective of the fact that your care pathway appears to be well within NHS guidelines. If your condition deteriorates while you are waiting, then your GP can request that your treatment be expedited.
