I was admitted as I thought I was having a heart attack and was immediately reassured that this was not the case. The pain I had when breathing in was due to a fall I had had on Friday 14th February. Investigations were very thorough and at the end I was told very clearly the cause of the pain and what would have happened if I had ignored it and what I needed to do to recover. This was all explained very clearly to me and at no time was I made to feel that I had wasted anybody's time but had been absolutely right to call for the ambulance. When I arrived I was shocked at the length of the queue and that the ambulance men had to wait with me for an hour before I was taken into A & E. They did not complain at all, but I thought that was such a waste of resources as whilst they were waiting with me their ambulance could not be used. A very inefficient use of time and skilled men. Although there was such a great number of patients, at the staff, including tea ladies etc. were very thorough, kind, informative and courteous throughout my time there. Many thanks to all.
