When my husband was rushed into A&E that fateful morning I was in a state of shock - I have nothing but high praise for the A&E consultant who treated him and who provided me with support whilst telling me that the prognosis was not good. Equally out of the blue one of the administrators offered me emotional and practical support (coffee and a shoulder to cry on) when I was at my lowest ebb. There was confusion, there was help and there was distress but there was kindness, there was support and there was patience.
