I was a bit disgusted to find out that there is "no provision for water for the public". I asked a nurse in the hearing dept for a drink of water and she told me, there was no provision for water for the public"and that she "wouldn't trust the water from the tap here" but also refused to let me use one of the mugs that were lying around to sort myself out. I asked another member of of staff in the corridor after leaving the department and they told me it was a cutback and a cynical move to make patients buy bottled water from the private business' that were in the building. I had a condition were the consumption of water (hydration) was essential. I have to say it made me feel very uncomfortable towards the way the hospital care provision was being managed. Clean water is a right not a privilege.
