"lack of care"

my father was admitted to the mau on the 15/12/13 and was himself so dissatisfied with the lack of attention from nurses to him and other patients, it seemed nurses would rather clear up a patients mess than help them to the bathroom, my father requested he be taken home, the request was granted with the plan for a care at home team to finish his treatment,he recovered but unfortunately he was admitted back into hospital on the 9/1/14 this time to the carnkie ward, the lack of treatment and care were even worse than the mau, doctors orders for drugs were not met by nurses, my dad asked the nurses for an extra pillow and never saw them again, when i followed this up with the nurses i was met with the answer we ran out, the communication between doctors was poor to say the least, a young doctor told me and my family that my father had a battle of weeks ahead of him that could go either way, and the next day a different doctor told us he only had a matter of days, which i myself didn't understand as i stayed the night with my father and his condition didn't worsen, it stayed the same, i would also like to point ot that during the night my father knocked his cannula out of his arm, so i got the nurses to stop the bleeding, had i not been there assuming he could even reach the buzzer it would have been half hour before the nurses would of responded ( I've seen this myself and so has my family) in which case it might of been to late... after the nurses cleaned my fathers bed sheets i re-entered the room an to my shock my father was just concious enough to tell me they forgot to turn the oxygen back on, the entire time my dad was in the hospital was time spent awake for the majority, opposite his room was the kitchen where a radio was playing constantly at an inappropriate volume, this happens to be playing all night aswell, with many patients in bad condition on this ward, i would have thought it would be kept quiet for people to sleep, the nurses talk about there day to day lives to each other loud enough for everyone to hear, maybe this is why nothing was being done on the ward, i've sidetracked enough, resuming to when the doctor told my family that my dad only had a matter of days, he requested to be at home for the remaining days of his life, the request was met with, yeah you can go but we cant do anything to get you home till after the weekend, this is what was said to a man who has just been told its a matter of days, needless to say my auntie arranged for a private ambulance to take him home, resulting in a cost of £350 which isn't cheap, my father passed away on the 21/1/14, he only got 2 days at home during which he was unable to speak to us due to toxins building up in the brain which stopped him from talking but he was in unison the entire time, we were given no warning that he could lose the ability to talk to us, which essentially robbed me and my family of our goodbye, i saw a few good nurses once, because they were agency.
