My 91 year old uncle was admitted to the stoke ward. I overheard the staff making fun of him at the reception desk in full hearing of other patients and visitors. I found this most distressing. My brother was recently diagnosed with cancer. We were told in a shockingly matter-of-fact way totally lacking in care or compassion and were given no information, guidance, reassurance or the opportunity to ask questions. I would not recommend this hospital to anyone.
