My mother had been suffering very badly with unexplained breathlessness and after calling 111, the emergency doctor said he would call an ambulance. The ambulance staff were kind and caring and my mother was seen within a few minutes of arrival at the hospital. She then had a CT scan which revealed a clot on the lung. I cannot rate highly enough the level of care she received at every step of the way. Nothing was too much trouble. The doctor explained the diagnosis and treatment in clear way and she has been admitted to Chestnut ward, where I am sure she will be well looked after.
