"Parking system"

About: Queen's Hospital, Burton Upon Trent / General surgery

(as a relative),

My parents had to attend queens hospital burton in trent, for blood test for my father. They entered the car park at 07. 59: 40. My mother had already been informed and took notice of the sign which told her to pay attention to the time she left.

Following the wait for bloods my mother went to the parking meter located at the doors by costa coffee and checked her watch. Realising she had been an hour she paid the required £2. 00 for the hour! Then walk up to the main exit doors and walked to their car.

Only a week later to receive a parking ticket for £40. 00 if they pay straight away or £70. 00 if they wait. But this is the thing the parking fine says the car drive off the car park at 09: 04: 00.

Has anyone actually worked out how long it takes to walk from the pay machine to the top of the car park, trying to get in cars and then getting out of space when cars are coming down from the entrance.

It is absolutely disgusting that this hospital is allowing this to happen! I will be taking this further. It is unacceptable to charge a person an extra min of £40. 00 for the sake of less than five minutes. When the parking pay zones are all over the place.
