The road for a child with disabilities is fraught with non communication. It feels like no one tells you what direction you should be heading and there is no ladder of direction. My little one who is just coming up to his 3 birthday has only just been released from the neo natal consultant. This should have been done when he was 2. He will be now under the community consultant. When I asked if he would be referred onto a paediatric consultant or orthopedic consultant? I was told the the damage was done that there was nothing that can be done.
If I had listened to them when he was born they told me he would not see, hear walk or talk. But because of our determination he can see, hear and talk.
I just want clarity as to where we should be going forward with him
