Please excuse my email.

I wanted to contact yourself regarding a member of your staff, Melanie Salsbury - Aural Care. I am sure that you receive many emails/letters as people are very quick to write and complain. My communication is to say that Melanie is an absolute credit to the National Health Service. I have seen Melanie on a regular basis, over the years as I have a problem with my ears and this means that I need to require treatment. Every time I see Melanie, she is always cheerful, enthusiastic and you can see that her fellow team members think the world of her also.

I recently returned from holiday on a Thursday evening and unfortunately, it would appear that on the flight home that I perforated my ear drum. I woke up in he morning with severe leakage from my ear. Melanie very kindly "fitted me in" within her very busy schedule on the Friday morning. Again, the welcome was as before, nothing is ever too much trouble and Melanie always goes that extra mile. I had to re-attended the clinic the following week a couple of times and Melanie called me to ensure progress was being made. I had to see Mr Snelling on a visit as a further opinion was required. I needed a hearing test urgently. Melanie again spoke to people to see if there was any cancellation and luckily that was the case and I was "fitted in" on the same day. Many people would have just made another appointment to return on another day. On my return from the hearing test Melanie checked to see if Mr Snelling was free and from the hearing check I now have a CT scan this coming Tuesday. Mr Snelling should also be complimented on his excellent patient care.
