"Trouble contacting Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm screening service"

I came across a telephone number (01452 318844) for a screening service for people who have Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm when I was at my GP surgery a month ago. I called and duly left my details as instructed and then waited for someone to get back to me. A month later I have still not heard from anyone.

Today I again came across the AAA screening service advertised in the Heart Matters magazine. I tried the number again and, as before, have left my details on their answer phone.

I can’t understand why no one gets back. I can understand that it may take someone a couple of days to return a call if they are very busy, but to wait a month and still not to have heard is not good. Are they understaffed? Is the number not working? Why are they advertising the service if they are not prepared to call back?
