"my pregant gf"

About: George Eliot Hospital - Acute Services / Accident and emergency

(as other),

we got referred to the george elliot hospital from the free phone service 111. the paramedic who seen to my gf was good at his job he attended to my gf with professional manner.

any way moving away from that we arrived at the hospital at 3. 35am we got seen to and then we had a 2 hour wait until we were seen again, the nurse who seen us was okay she did everything by the book which was okay as well.

we then got told that we would be seen to very shortly ... while we were waiting there was no nurses to be seen for a few minutes we heard an comotion from the next but one cubical an old lady was crying for help. my gf told me to go and find help so I did, I found an nurse and told her about the issue with the lady the nurse went over to where the lady was. we heard the lady was standing up and was terribly confused and frightened. as she stood up we heard that she had pulled the canular out of her hand and was bleeding over the bed which to my fact if an nurse had been on duty in the room this would not have happened. the nurse thanked my gf and myself for letting her know, eventually the nurse came over to my gf and asked to take some blood samples to see if my gf had a blood clot on her heart which could be quite dangerous if not treated ... anyway she came over and tried to take a sample this took about 15 mins to take and no luck my gf ended up with 13 needle holes in her arms and one more in her groin, my gf came home with bruises all over her arms and hands which I think was disgraceful. I dont know if the nurse was a trainee or a doctor but that was unprofessional and painful my gf told me, we did not get home till 8. 45 in the morning with no sleep at all that night. To be honest I do understand that the a&e can be a busy place but this was ridiculous, my gf and myself are disgusted with the treatment we received and with to go the leicester royal infirmary from now on. This hospital needs to be sorted out.
