I had a very painful toe and so called the centre as a last resort to ask the current procedure. The phone rang for ages and when I got there, I saw the reason, there was only one member of staff behind the counter. Despite this, when my turn came she was helpful and cheerful and I was seen promptly (she even managed to elicit a promise from me to complete a customer survey!!). After I was attended to by the nurse, who was equally pleasant at the end of her working day/week, I stopped at reception to complete the aforementioned survey. The receptionist was busy with another patient who was, despite appearances to the contrary, very distressed and kept lapsing into tears, unusual in a working man. The lady came out from behind reception and although I wasnt looking, appeared to comfort the man and gave him a slightly more personal touch than from behind a glass screen (I dont recommend this for some people!!) but the little episode touched me and I hope the guy gets his problems sorted and I hope the lady concerned continues the good work and has a really good weekend, please give her my best.
