"Home Birth Team"

5 star Treatment! After having an initial visit by the homebirth team to explain what was involved, and after having our first son at hospital, we decided to opt for a homebirth. At the beginning we were a little unsure, but were soon reassured and got to meet each of the homebirth team so that we were familiar with them, especially for when the time came. When it indeed did, myself and my husband couldn't have asked for a better experience. We both remained calm throughout, which I believe is down to the team themselves, and the fact that we were in familiar surroundings and were able to go at our own pace. When it came to the crunch, I was able to give birth to our second son without any pain relief and within a couple of hours be sat on my own sofa, having a cup of tea, cuddling our newborn. We would wholeheartedly recommend the homebirth experience, and have nothing but gratitude to all of the team for their ante and post natal care, and for the amazing birth itself. Makes me want another one - which I will have at home if it happens! Sam Wallis
