I went to the hospital for a breast examination after I found a lump in my armpit. Despite living and working in Manchester I was able to make an appointment for the the Royal Free Hospital over a week before any available in the Northern Region. When I arrived and my details were taken I was advised to take a seat. The clinic was very full and busy due a staff sickness but the staff were helpful, friendly and apologetic. I was seen by a doctor who was very kind, friendly and patient with me. There was a chaperone who attended during the examination who was also very lovely. After my examination and ultrasound the doctor called me back in to explain my results. She was very thorough and ensured I understood what was going on. I am very happy with the way the staff reacted to the staff shortages and everyone I spoke to was kind and professional. If I need any future treatment I will definitely travel from Manchester to be seen here again.
