"Lovely staff"

About: Royal Blackburn Hospital

I was seen in the urology hot clinic after being transfered from another hospital, the doctor was not very helpful and the assistant practitioner who was with him didnt have a smile for anybody! I was sent home but on my way out the cannulae site on my hand started to bleed, she put some swabs on it then just walked off!! I was admitted later that day onto C22, I was put in a nice little sideroom and given some water. The staff were lovely, the doctors too. The nurses were quite happy to have a chat with me and were very good at spacing out my pain relief in order for me to get the best effects. My bed was always changed and i always got the meal that i had ordered. I also got in bother one night as my visitors had over stayed, ooops! All in all a very pleasant stay, I was really dreading it as I had heard some horror stories and have previously worked at RBH as I am a member of staff at another hospital. The staff on C22 did not know that i was a member of staff and I am glad as i would expect them to treat everybody the same, which they do.

Thank you for your recent review with regards to the urology service. I am pleased that the care you were given was to a high standard and the staff put you at ease when you most needed it. I hope you make a full recovery Carol Horne Matron Trauma and Orthopaedics, Urology
