"Cancer Treatment"

About: Leighton Hospital

In December 2012 I was diagnosed with testicular cancer. Within 3 weeks of the initial diagnosis I was taken and operated on. I then was put under the care of the McMillan Unit and have been treated both professionally and respectfully. In August 2013 I had another op, again really well treated and looked after. I can not thank all the staff involved enough for basically saving my life. A massive thank you to all

Many thanks for your comments. We are delighted to receive such positive feedback about the Macmillan Unit. We strive to ensure that we provide high quality care and support to patients and their families at what can be a very difficult time and it is always good to hear that this has been achieved. I will share your feedback with the staff. Sarah Rickels, Clinical Nurse Manager, Cancer Services, Macmillan Cancer Unit.
