"Visit to A&E by ambulance"

About: North Middlesex Hospital

I had the misfortune of having to be taken by ambulance to the North Middlesex Hospital in the early hours of Tuesday morning. The first time I have had to use the hospital because of the closure of Chase Farm A&E. Now, Chase Farm A&E was not a lovely experience but in comparison to North Middx A&E it was a delight. At North Middx A&E I was ignored by staff, left to overhear the ambulance lady hand me over to nursing staff whilst discuss their personal lives in detail, shepherded into a room I can only describe as looking like a prison cell (although prison cells are probably far more luxurious). Staff wandered around leisurely while patients were asleep in cubicles they had been waiting so long. I was ignored to the point I gave up and left the hospital and no one noticed. I dread us having to use these services ever again. I work in healthcare but this really was the NHS at its worst.
