"NHS Cuts"

About: Clatterbridge Hospital

I was in Clatterbridge 18 months ago I can see the cuts to the hospital... I was a Day Case in Leverhulme Ward and stayed overnight on Dermatology...has to be the best ward for care and atmosphere...BUT..... Only tea and coffee is served...if want any other drink...hot chocolate...horlicks...bovril bring your own...these drinks have been stopped as they are too expensive...yeah right!!! My main gripe was lack of food...for my lunch I had cod in butter sauce...cauli and three tiny roasties...plenty of veg but no main course... Dinner was served...I was so hungry...when myself and three other patients went for our food there was no food left except scrapings...one lady got the last portion of a rubber omelette...piled high with peas...the women got the last two portions of mince and pasta...I can't eat pasta...There was nothing left for me...I was no annoyed and upset...no food!!!! Firs Cafe is closed...I was told to see if they could get any food for me..I got a ham butty and a turkey butty and cheese and crackers...told them I would go home if there was no food....what a way to run a ward no food...they knew I was staying on Monday/Tuesday so they should have had enough food for the ward... The only fault now with Clatterbridge is lack of food...if you are only in for a day take a packed lunch and your favorite drink...I have never been so hungry I was starving... Also they do love mince....they dress it up as everything...in as many ways they can...must be cheap to buy...I like mince but not every meal....
