My 2 year old came to me saying she had swallowed some coins. We don't live in the area but were nearby so we went to the a&e at Manchester. They have a separate children's a&e which is fantastic, there are toys, colouring stuff and kids TV in the waiting rooms, the staff are all used to working with children and welcomed my daughter straight away. It was so much easier than trying to keep her calm in an adult a&e. We were seen very quickly by the triage nurse and the doctor and she was given an X-ray to see if anything had got stuck inside and would cause a problem. The advice from the doctors and staff was great, and we went away feeling very happy. Thank you!
"Excellent, patient and generous care."
