What I liked

October 13th 2008 I was a patient in the short stay surgical ward (Red Side) for some vascular treatment.

From my early morning arrival and throughout my procedure I was treated with kindness, consideration and dignity.

During the daytime the ward was busy yet the

staff were always 100% focused on the patients welfare and comfort.

On returning to the ward following my procedure,

I felt in very safe hands, the staff demonstrated their high standard of care for patients, the balance of professional training with very good humour made me feel relaxed and comfortable.

I noticed a watchful eye being maintain on my

recovery whilst allowing me to rest with dignity.

My procedure required that I stay overnight and during this time I enjoyed a high standard of care, attention and good humour from the staff.

Although busy and dedicated the staff always found time for the patients well being.

What could be improved

The bathroom facilities, The Tea,

Anything else?

Many people try to ridicule our NHS, allow me to say this to them.

Stretched and over subscribed as it may be

The N.H.S will be there for you and thanks to the very high quality of the staff is the best in the world.
