I attended the Audiology department for a hearing test and was very impressed with the service. A smiling receptionist greeted me and told me where to wait. I only waited 5-10 minutes to be seen. The audiologist I saw was working with a trainee. Both were extremely helpful, polite and caring and kept me informed aboutwhat they were going to be doing throughout the appointment. I had plenty of opportunity to ask questions and they answered them well and in plain English. I was particularly impressed with the level of information displayed on the walls in the clinic. This included patient feedback, information on the action they have taken in response to patient feedback and suggestions and the behaviours expected from staff towards each other and their patients. I left feeling that this was a very professional and patient-centred service which is very open about what it gets right and keen to improve if it gets things wrong.
