"Disgrace!"

About: Royal Oldham Hospital

Attended A&E on instruction from GP in agony with a large abscess on my thigh is a reaccuring one but this time it's the size of an orange can barley walk, sick with pain and my lymph nodes swollen and painful. Told that I would need it removing and IV then another doctor said no to go home with stronger antibiotics and try and get it to rupture using hot flannels and the pain in my groin and hip is redirectional pain! Now if you look at the NHS website it actually says large abscess are unlikely to clear up with just antibiotics and the risk is they will rupture which is very painful or worse not empty and spread the infection. She was not interested and just wanted me out even though I had vomited, could hardly walk and in agony. My family very worried and if this infection gets worse I will be putting a formal complaint in as I don't think they are interested in people just targets and getting people back out the door, absolute disgrace!
