Patient attended a and e following rtc. Dismissed with two paracetamol. Later rushed to bigger hosp after 999 call. Patient had two broken vertebrae, broken arm, broken leg and two bleeds on the brain. Was touch and go for several days. Unfortunately returned to ciren following brilliant care and rehab at frenchay and glos royal. Now in a ward where he is neglected, has received no physio or rehab since leaving glos, nurses are not aware that the injuries are caused by rtc, simply a stroke victim, (patient suffered two strokes 7 and 10 days after accident as direct result of injuries), lifted out of bed and left for many hours despite his care plan stating otherwise. Asked to walk from bed to chair, patient unable to stand as a result of stoke effects on one leg and other being broken, nurses totally unaware of the care this patient requires. Would rather drive further to visit relative and know good care was being taken of them, plus positive steps to improve recovery and future life. Nurses rude both to patients and family members, too busy to meet even basic needs like a drink.
"shocking from a and e to rehab"
