What I liked
I have an ongoing disease and am treated by a specialist and go to 'friends day clinic' every 8 weeks for regular treatment. I can honestly say the treatment at 'friends day' is exceptional, the staff are attentive and competant. The attitude is first class and they cannot do enough for me. The doctor is brilliant with a great manner, I feel involved in all decision about my care and she has on numerous occasions arranged to see me at short notice when I have been sick and I feel I am lucky to have her as my doctor.
What could be improved
When I was on the ward ( I spent nearly a month on St Margarets ward in Feb 07 ) I felt there should have been more nurses, doing less, as I fell this impacted on patient care, they seemed often overstreched. They can be really dangerous when pills are being administered etc.
Anything else?
I moved to this area abot 6 years ago and I know I have better access to treatment and a better hospital than my friends do in the more affluent London.
