When visiting our daughter in Nafferton my wife trapped her fingers in the car door, severely damaging one in particular with an alarming gash, resulting in a dash to Driffield to Alfred Beans minor injuries unit. The nurse who so expertly and caringly attended to my wife's injuries with a level of expertise that I have not witnessed for many years. His technique in wound dressing was sheer artwork. There is no doubt in my mind that the treatment afforded by this gentleman saved my wife's hand from becoming permanently impaired. My wife had follow up attention at York District Hospital, in our home town, and he may be pleased to learn that his work received accolades from his peers in York who agreed with my conclusions. We are eternally grateful to him and to your hospital.
