"visit to outpatients, gynaecology"

About: Retford Hospital

was seen by two different junior doctors on 3 different occasions. on 3rd visit i was in the middle of being booked in. i asked is it common practice for a surgeon to operate on a patient she hadnt met. i was then told she was busy but they would fetch her. she came in rather cross that she was disturbed by a mere patient, sat down and glanced at my notes, you have had a lot of terminations she declared, i was half way through saying im a carrier of muscular dystrophy when she stated over the top of me that "your far too fat ! , i dont operate on fat women. go away and loose 5 stone. i will see you in november if you have bothered to loose any". i said "i dont think you will". i then got up and left. i was very upset and angry at this treatment. god bless the wi ladies who gave me some tissues, a hug and a mug of hot chocolate.
