"Maidstone hospital"

About: The Maidstone Hospital

My husband is in the hospital now- he was transferred to another ward on Friday night after mid night , which is totally unacceptable. He s being barrier nursed and was moved from a room with its own bathroom to a tiny side room and told he had to use a commode! This des not make sense as moving barrier nursed patents around a hospital is not good practice. Sadly respect and dignity does not mean , when someone is using a commode insisting they tell you at that moment what they want for supper! No one seems to know which consultant s responsible for my husbands care , I could go on, but I am too upset . Paramedics were excellent , a/e were good. Assessment unit outstanding! Then sadly bad since.

Thank you for taking the time to leave your comments. We were very concerned to learn of the difficulties your husband is encountering and would welcome the opportunity to help resolve any ongoing issues. Please do not hesitate to contact the Patient Advice and Liaison Service on 01622 224960 or email mtwpals@nhs.net where a member of the team will be happy to help. Alternatively, please ask to speak with the nurse in charge when you next visit your husband. Kind regards, The PALS Team.
