About: Tameside General Hospital / Breast surgery Tameside General Hospital / Gynaecology Tameside General Hospital / X-ray and Scans

(as the patient),

I attended the Breast Clinic on a Monday Morning at 9am and had all the usual diagnostic tests, by 2.15 pm I was diagnosed with breast cancer, the same day.

A Macmillan breast care nurse was appointed to guide me through my treatment and an operation date was given me for the following week.

I was guided step by step throughout all my treatment by the breast cancer care nurse.

The total care was excellent and we are so lucky to have this service which at the moment is under threat of being moved to South Manchester. This is because the NHS feel there is a need for the concentration of radiological services.

Thank you for sharing these positive comments, We have passed these comments onto the breast surgeon and the Macmillan breast care nurses, which I am sure will give them such a moral boost to know all their hard work and good service they provide for the Trust is working.
