"Urgent Care"

About: Trafford General Hospital

I went here not knowing if they actually had a A&E department which apparently they dont or they do its just been rebranded Urgent Care and is staffed 8am till midnight. The synic in me says is this just a downgrade and soon to disappear altogether ? However I have to say I received a first class service, hardly any waiting time and the staff here where tremendous.

Thank you for your comments regarding your care at the Urgent Care Centre at Trafford Hospital. The Urgent Care Centre (UCC) was opened 28th November 2013, following the closure of the Accident & Emergency Department at Trafford General Hospital. The UCC is consultant led and is fully staffed with highly trained emergency nurses and doctors. It is equipped to see a full range of injuries and conditions from 8.00am to midnight as you quite rightly state. It was very kind of you to write and compliment the staff as it is good to receive positive feedback which reflects the hard work and dedication of our staff. As we strive to achieve a high standard of care for all our patients it was reassuring to hear that your experience was “first class”. I can assure you that we have passed on your thoughts to all the staff working in the Urgent Care Centre. I also note that your signature is MCFC champs and in recognition of this would like to congratulate you on your recent Capital One cup win.
