I had an appointment at the cardiac clinic (first floor, purple zone) and was completely shocked by the experience. Not good for a cardiac patient. The waiting room was over-flowing and a number of people, who looked quite frail, were propping themselves up against walls. No effort appeared to be made to provide them with seats. One lady removed herself to the smaller waiting area by reception and I promised I would call her if her name was asked for. Combined with the state of the waiting area and clinic rooms - peeling paintwork, cardboard boxes left on cabinets etc. it was hardly the right environment to be in and almost designed to raise blood pressure and heart rate! I certainly felt extremely uncomfortable and, had the waiting time been any longer, (fortunately, less than half an hour) I would have left. On the positive side, the doctor I met was absolutely friendly and professional.
