What I liked

The speed of the team in A & E, treating me in case I had experienced a Heart problem. They explained everything to me even though they were very busy with seriously ill patients.They decided I needed to be transferred to a ward over night.

What could be improved

The time taken to transfer me to a ward as I was clogging up a resussitation bay in A & E and when I got there they were not ready for me.

The next day it was decided I could go home and I had to wait for the list of medication that I had brought in from the GP to be approved by the Pharmacy for me to take back to my GP and this resulted in my tying up a needed bed for 4 hours, I think this system needs to be reviewed for the bed space problem to be eased.

The night staff were also under pressure and this resulted in another patient waiting 20 - 30 minutes for her buzzer to be answere in the middle of the night, thus disturbing other patients.
