"The people are always very good whenever I need to use the transport"

About: South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust / Patient transport service (PTS)

(as the patient),

I used the ambulance to take me from my home in Thornbury to the Southmead hospital for an appointment in the Urology department.

Ben, the driver, and Alan, the helper, were both very caring how they handled all the people they picked up along the route. They brought the wheelchair for me right up to my door and at the hospital they took me through to the urology department.

The people are always very good whenever I need to use the transport and when I tell them how I appreciate their help they always say it all part of their job.

Dear Attentive675

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience of the Patient Transport Service.

It is always rewarding to hear that our staff are continuing to provice excellent care to our patients when they need us most.

I would like to be able to pass your kind comments onto Ben and Alan. In order to do this I will need to know the date you travelled, and the address you were collected from. Could you please contact me, at your convenience, at laura.martin@swast.nhs.uk?

Kind regards

Laura
