"infection in breast"

About: East Surrey Hospital / Breast surgery

(as the patient),

I had a sudden pain in left breast went to local health clinic at Caterham Dene hospital. It was an infection, I was given antibiotics, I had to see G. P. as swelling went down who then sent me to the Breast Clinic at Redhill Hospital. I had an appoint within 2 days which I attended. The clinic then sent me for a mammogram and a scan. Short version seen and sorted in a few weeks. I was very impressed with and Thank you so very much.

Dear hazeltree,

I was really pleased to read your story on Patient Opinion about how we were able to help you in what must have been a very stressful time.

For me the key message is that we were able to respond so quickly following your GP referral and I'm sure that this helped to reduce the worries that you may have had a about a diagnosis.

I will of course pass your comments onto the relevant staff.

Kind regards

Ian
