"No bed?"

About: Royal Preston Hospital

My husband was sent for today. He was sent a taxi by the hospital and had to be there for 2.00pm It is now 10.30 pm and he still has not been allocated a bed. He is sat alone in a pockey little room where the tv does not work. At 7.30 we spoke to the bed manager and she admitted that there had been a lapse in communication and she was unaware for the need of a bed. I cannot comprehend why a hospital will send for a patient then not take care of them. A very concerned spouse.
