I was admitted in early February suffering from a heart attack. I was transferred from the Gwent as they didn't have the equipment to perform the operation
My ambulance was met by a doctor who escorted me to the Cath theatre where I was operated on immediately. The procedure took about an hour and I was then taken to recovery.
The experience was personally very frightening, but all of the staff I met were brilliant.
I was discharged three days later and am now waiting for my rehab appointment.
I can only say a massive thank you to everyone involved. Contrary to all the negative publicity surrounding the NHS; my opinion is that the service is absolutely first class.
"Thank you for my emergency angioplasty"
